PETERSEN MEDIA: Lance Dewease is pleased to announce that he has come to terms with Scott and Chris Dietz to pilot their C.C. Dietz Builders/Hess Ornamental Iron No. 14 machine in Pennsylvania in the 2014 season.
"I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to drive for the Dietz's," Dewease said. "2013 was a rough year performance wise, and I am hoping we can put together a great year together."
Lance Dewease is a low key guy. He doesn't buy into hype, and he doesn't get flustered in tough situations. Not even when his future is unsettled.
It's part of coming up through the racing ranks the hard way. Dewease built his career from nothing, and he has no problem rolling up his sleeves and using his knowledge to scale his way to the top of the sport... Again.
Dewease will get that opportunity next season. The Fayetteville driver has hooked up with car-owner Scott Dietz and Dietz Motorsports for a 60-to-65 race schedule that will feature a mix of weekly and high-profile shows.
"It doesn't concern me what people say," Dewease said. "Their program is built around small tracks. We are going to try and get sponsors to run the bigger tracks, too."We are still in the process of working it out. I still expect to run 60-65 races. We committed to each other, and I'm excited.

Chris Bell has burst on to the national dirt-track racing scene so fast that he getting compared to Kyle Larson. That's a bold statement, but it may be warranted.
Bell has five wins and leads the USAC Midget national point standings in his rookie season with car-owner Keith Kunz. He also has a pair of scores in Midwest Open Wheel Association (MOWA) events. Despite his success, Bell has limited 410 and 360 Sprint Car experience. He's only run 40 to 50 shows, but his talent made an impression on Aaron Call and Janet Holbrook, owners of CH Motorsports, who made him their primary driver in 2014.
In a quick phone interview with Pennlive.com Thursday, Bell talked about competing in the 410 Sprint Car division with CH Motorsports.
Chambersburg, PA (October 31, 2013) - "The Hammer", Doug Esh, is teaming up with Heckman Tree Farm (HTF) Racing 8H. The duo plans to compete at the Port Royal Speedway and select time trial shows at the famed Williams Grove Speedway, where Esh owns a prestigious National Open victory. Car owners Gary and Linda Heckman welcome Doug, along with crew chief Rob Peters, aboard the J&J Auto Racing machine.
Aaron Call and Janet Holbrook, owners of CH Motorsports, are changing their approach to Sprint Car racing and their team.
Gone is experience and know how. Enter youth, raw talent and as Holbrook put it, "A clean slate."??
CH Motorsports announced Thursday that they are hiring up-and-coming phenom Chris Bell to run the No. 83 during the 2014 season. The team also inked Allegra Printing and Imaging out of Traverse City, Mich, to be the primary sponsor.
"We have a primary sponsor now, and they wanted someone in there that is younger," Holbrook said. "We let them tell us who is capable.
"We have been watching him from a distance, and he has shown a lot of proficiency in a short amount of time. In this deal, we get someone who is young and hungry. He is a breath of fresh air, a blank slate."??
